ABSTRACT

This paper explores the aesthetic reconstruction in prose translation through three core principles: sound and rhythm, individualized discourse mode, and unity of aesthetic appeal, thus giving a guidance of appreciation of prose translation. Analyzing classic cases like The Peanut, Moonlight Over the Lotus Pond, and Of Studies, it demonstrates how translators preserve the original’s form, meaning, and charm. The aesthetic charm of English and Chinese may shift and vary, yet the eternal core of truth, goodness, and beauty remains immutable. Through great works and their beautiful translations, it is hoped that readers across ages and tongues feel the eternal light of humanity.
