ABSTRACT

Consideration is given to scientific foundations, approaches and trends in the field of historical and cultural heritage preservation. Strategies are formulated for updating cultural heritage sites in the centers of historical cities (cluster-territorial approach, spot-based approach). The analysis is dedicated to the modern practices of restoring the unique historical and cultural potential of urban space.
