ABSTRACT
This article explores mindfulness,
and highlights two major contributors to the development of Mindfulness, a Buddhist
Monk Thich Nhat Hanh and a Physician Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn. Mindfulness training programs
are discussed and a research study designed to include mindfulness in a residential
program for secondary gifted students to examine their role of mindfulness in the
psychological well-being is discussed with results and conclusions.
