ABSTRACT
This article puts forth
suggestion that the ship Inmarsat identification code be added to the data
structure of A and B class ship equipment of AIS for the prompt and effective
communication with ships in distress and those around via Inmarsat in the
process of search and rescue through MRCC
(Maritime Rescue Coordination Center).
